Background

Instant Imprints was founded in California in 1992, became a retail operation in 1994 and launched its franchise offering in the United States in 2002. The business concept originates from the experience of the Kats family businesses in the same and related fields of custom screen printing and heat transfer capabilities in Chicago beginning  in   1980. The   Kats family   invested ten   years developing   the   Instant

Imprints business. They leveraged their industry experience and devoted most those years specifically to developing and refining the franchise business model. Today, as envisioned, Instant Imprints is growing impressively via franchising in the US with over 100 franchises awarded another 50 expected to be awarded in 2005. The company believes that its build-out in the US will reach 500 stores within the next five years and ultimately 1000 stores.


The Instant Imprints business development model also lends itself well to an International Master Franchise on a countrywide basis. The Master Franchisee may sub-franchise via both regional Master Franchises (areas within the Master’s own country) or on a single Unit Franchise basis.
