During his 12 years at New Horizons Computer
Learning Centers, Inc. Mr. Longobardi was a key member of the senior
executive team which grew the Company from three locations generating
$7 million in revenues in 1992 to become the world's largest
information technology training company, with over 280 locations
generating revenues exceeding $500 million for two consecutive years.
His executive leadership roles with New Horizons included Chief
Financial Officer (1992-1995), Vice President of Operations
(1995-1997), Senior Vice President of North American Operations
(1997-2003), and Senior Vice President of Global Franchise Operations
(2003-2004).
Mr. Longobardi helped New Horizons become the most
dominant player in the IT training industry and an exceptional
franchise organization with the Company receiving numerous awards
including Fortune Magazine's 100 Fastest Growing Companies, Forbes
Magazine's 200 Best Small Companies, Business Week's 100 Hot Growth
Companies, Franchise Times 200, IDC's Largest IT Training Organization
in the World and Brandon Hall's Excellence in E-Learning, Gold Award.
Gene has been in charge of e-Learning product development, sales,
legal, human resources, marketing, content distribution, new business
development, and development of business skills and English Language
training.
In August 2004, Mr Longobardi was named the
inaugural winner of the Longobardi Award, an award given annually in
his name to recognize individuals who demonstrate superior commitment
to excellence and dedication to the success of the New Horizons
network.
