As a senior Executive with 30 years of successful
international operations, development, executive and entrepreneurial
experience, Mr. Edwards provides Clients with diverse multi-industry
global experience, expertise and knowledge.
He has lived in China, the Czech Republic, Hong
Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Turkey and the USA. Mr. Edwards has personally
directed projects on-site in Alaska, Asia, Eastern Europe and the Near
East, has directed seven international start-ups and has worked on
projects in 62 countries.
From 1990-2001, Mr. Edwards worked with the
AlphaGraphics global digital print group in various capacities around
the world. He co-founded the AlphaGraphics master license in China in
1990-91 and the AlphaGraphics' Eastern Europe master license in
1999-2000. From 1992-1999 and again in 2000-2001, he was AlphaGraphics'
USA-based Senior Executive directing the growth of the company's global
network from 4 countries in the early 1990s to 24 countries by 2001.
Previously, Mr. Edwards had a 20-year oil and gas
sector career with Atlantic Richfield and Ashland Oil while living in 6
countries. He was involved in oil and gas exploration in Alaska and
Indonesia. He directed Atlantic Richfield's exploration program inside
China and established the company's subsidiary in Turkey. Subsequently,
Mr. Edwards founded an international oil and gas company and served as
Senior International Development Advisor for Ashland Oil.
Mr. Edwards is a Certified Franchise Executive
(CFE). He is a Member of the International Franchise Association, the
Association for Corporate Growth, the Forum for Corporate Directors,
The World Affairs Council, the World Trade Center, the American
Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Society for Exploration
Geophysicists, the Association of Professional Consultants, the
Professionals Networking Group and the Tucson Committee on Foreign
Relations.
Mr. Edwards serves as a Member of the Board of
Directors of IBS, an Istanbul-based market research group, as Chairman
of the Advisory Board of Franchiise.com, on a Strategic Advisory Board
at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and as a Member of
the Board of the International Certified Franchise Executive council.
He speaks and lectures around the world on taking
businesses international, entrepreneurial business development and
doing business in emerging markets. In 2003, Mr. Edwards spoke more
than 20 times including at The American Graduate School of
International Management (Thunderbird), Pepperdine University, Nova
Southeastern University, the University of Arizona, The World Franchise
Forum in Bangkok, The Franchise Council of Australia in Melbourne, The
International Franchise Association and the International Franchise
EXPO in Washington.
